World War One began in central Europe in late July 1914. The lead up to the first world war was because of many reason, such as the conflicts and hostility of the four decades leading up to the war. There were changes in every area of society. Militarism, alliances, imperialism, and nationalism were all factors that caused the lead up to world war one, they began to dominate international relations in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Imperialism- Imperialism is A policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force.
Militarism- Militarism is the belief or desire of a government or people that a country should maintain a strong military capability and be prepared to use it to defend or promote national interests.
Nationalism- Nationalism is pride and love in a nation. Nationalism played an important role for the lead up of the war. It either united or divided the people of a nation.
